Freelance Technical Recruiter & POC

Job Description

⚡ The Core Mandate

We are not a traditional staffing agency—we are a turn-key engineering solutions provider deploying elite Data Center and Network Engineering teams into Fortune 500 clients across the US.

We need a US-based technical POC who will do more than just source resumes. You will be the "Guardian of our Engineering Talent"—responsible for the full lifecycle:

Recruit → Onboard → Deploy → Travel to site → Manage performance → Retain.

You will be the primary bridge between our remote HQ, our client's leadership in the US, and the network engineers we place on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Recruitment (Hardware/Network Focus)

  • Source and close elite Network Engineers, Data Center Architects, Optical Engineers, and NOC Leads across the US.
  • Vet candidates for deep technical proficiency (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, Cisco NX-OS, Juniper, Arista, DWDM).
  • Build a proprietary, travel-friendly talent pipeline so you can rapidly deploy engineers to client sites nationwide.

2. On-Site Travel & Engineering Management (Crucial New Duty)

  • Travel domestically (30%-40%) to client colocation facilities, data centers, and corporate offices (e.g., Ashburn/VA, NYC/NJ, Dallas/TX, Santa Clara/CA, and Chicago/IL) to conduct on-the-ground check-ins with deployed engineers.
  • Act as the on-site escalation point: When a deployed engineer faces a technical roadblock, interpersonal conflict with the client's staff, or a scope-of-work misunderstanding, you are the neutral problem-solver who shows up in person to mediate.
  • Oversee the quality of work: Validate that our deployed teams are meeting SLAs for network uptime, rack deployments, and hardware refreshes. Gather 360-degree performance feedback from both the client-side management and our engineers.

3. Client Account POC

  • Work as out POC with our US Clients

✅ Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder. English (both written and spoken) is required for high-stakes client boardroom conversations.
  • Location & Mobility: Must be based in the Greater Miami area (easy access to MIA/FLL airports). Must possess a valid US passport/ID and be able to travel domestically
  • Deep Technical Recruiting Background: Minimum 7+ years of combined technical recruiting AND talent management experience specifically in Network Engineering & Data Center Operations across the US market.
  • People Management Experience: You must have direct experience managing, mentoring, or supervising technical staff (either as an agency lead, internal HRBP, or ex-military NCO). You know how to handle difficult performance conversations.
  • Hardware Literacy: You must speak "network". You can intelligently discuss Cisco ASR/Nexus, Arista 7000s, Juniper MX series, DWDM optics, and low-latency trading infrastructure fluently.
  • Crisis Management: You are unflappable. When an engineer quits with 1-week notice at a client site, you can step in, manage the client's expectations, and source a backfill immediately.

⭐ Highly Desirable (Bonus Points)

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish): Huge advantage, as many US data centers have dual- engineering teams and Miami is your home base.
  • Existing relationships with hiring managers at major US telecoms, CDNs, financial exchanges, or hyperscalers (AWS, Equinix, Digital Realty).
  • Experience managing consultants across multiple US time zones.
