Hardware Engineer Advanced Thermal & Computer Systems

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHardware Engineer Advanced Thermal & Computer Systems

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineer to help develop next- cooling and compute system technologies for high-performance data centers and telecom infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who is motivated by advanced thermal management, high-density computing, and hands-on engineering work.

You will work directly with technologies such as passive liquid cooling, two-phase cooling architectures, and integrated AI and HPC compute platforms. This is a high-impact, on-site role where your work will contribute to the development of sustainable and highly efficient computing infrastructure.

What You Will Do

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement hardware engineering solutions across compute, mechanical, and thermal systems.
  • Conduct testing, validation, and performance improvements for hardware platforms based on customer and system requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence system architecture, integration, and new product development.
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, specifications, and process guidelines.
  • Support initiatives that advance the product portfolio in the HPC, AI, enterprise, and telecom markets.

Technical Focus Areas:

  • Develop thermal management solutions at the chip, server, rack, and room levels.
  • Integrate high-density compute systems, including CPU and GPU accelerated platforms.
  • Work with direct-to-chip cooling, two-phase thermal systems, cold plates, and passive liquid-cooling technologies.
  • Support the transition of R&D innovations into scalable and manufacturable products.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and thermal management for compute or telecom environments.
  • Experience with liquid cooling solutions at chip, server, rack, or room scale.
  • Experience with instrumentation, automation, measurement techniques, calibration, and data analysis.
  • Working knowledge of hardware integration and modern compute architectures (SoC, CPU, GPU).

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with refrigerant-based or two-phase cooling technologies such as thermosyphons, evaporators, condensers, and cold plates.
  • Familiarity with mechanical design, micro-fabrication, and prototype development.
  • Experience with two-phase heat transfer research or experiments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

What Makes This Role Unique

This engineering organization is known for developing advanced and highly efficient computing and cooling technologies, including:

  • Passive, pumpless, waterless liquid-cooling systems that support very high rack densities and significantly reduce energy usage.
  • End-to-end HPC and AI hardware platforms that combine advanced cooling, compute hardware, and AI-based monitoring systems.
  • Direct-to-chip two-phase cooling solutions for next- AI, HPC, cloud, gaming, and enterprise workloads.
  • A long-term technology roadmap focused on sustainability, energy efficiency, modularity, and deployment across both legacy and new data centers.
