Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager or Senior Technical Services Manager with a strong background delivering data centres from pre-construction through commissioning? This is an opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a high-performing Data Centre division at a major UK contractor.

Their dedicated Data Centre division is known for its technical excellence, deep building-services capability and collaborative approach with specialist MEP and commissioning supply chain partners.

The Opportunity

The business is strengthening its leadership within the Data Centre division and seeking a Head of Building Services / Building Services Director to oversee all MEP activity across upcoming schemes.

This role will take full responsibility for:

  • Leading the building services strategy across tendering, design, delivery and commissioning
  • Providing technical leadership to MEP teams and ensuring best-in-class delivery
  • Supporting the development of robust pre-construction solutions
  • Championing commissioning excellence and operational readiness
  • Steering resource planning, team growth and technical capability across the division

You’ll report at a senior level and shape how the business delivers complex data centre projects over the next several years.

Background They’re Looking For

This position would suit someone who has:

  • Successfully led MEP or building services delivery on data centre projects
  • Experience working across the full lifecycle — from tender and pre-con through to commissioning
  • Strong technical understanding across mechanical, electrical, and critical systems
  • A proven ability to manage teams, coordinate specialist subcontractors and maintain high technical standards
