Health & Safety Manager – Data Centre Project
Location: Acton, London
Contract Duration: Until November 2026

I am working with a leading M&E contractor with an annual turnover of more than £200 million, delivering projects across a wide range of sectors including high-end and mid-level residential, commercial fit-outs, data centres, offsite modular engineering, and the rapidly expanding life sciences market.
They are now seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join a high-profile Data Centre project in Acton, providing long-term stability through to November 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and embedding a strong safety culture on one of the contractor’s flagship projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead HSQE project and documentation support, including Preliminary and Construction Stage Safety & Health Plans.
- Ensure compliance with current Environmental, Health & Safety legislation and keep up to date with evolving industry standards.
- Obtain, review, and manage safety documentation from clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Carry out regular site inspections and produce clear, actionable reports.
- Support site teams with the preparation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and associated safety documentation.
- Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks to promote best practice and maintain a strong safety culture.
- Provide daily and weekly HSQE reporting to the business, project leadership, and client representatives.
- Lead and document accident/incident investigations, ensuring findings are shared and acted upon.
- Act as the key HSQE advisor, providing guidance and direction to staff, contractors, and site personnel.
- Oversee the compilation of Safety Files and O&M Manuals.
About You:
- Hold a recognised HSQE qualification (minimum NEBOSH Certificate in Construction or IOSH equivalent).
- At least 3 years’ HSQE experience within the construction industry (data centre or M&E sector experience desirable).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across all levels.
- Proven ability in planning, organisation, training delivery, teamwork, problem-solving, and report writing.
- Fully commutable to Acton and able to work on-site for the duration of the project.
