Job Description
MiCiM is looking for an enthusiastic Health & Safety Manager to take the lead on health, safety, and environmental management for our large-scale construction projects across the UK. Key Responsibilities
- Lead all H&S activities on-site, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and MiCiM’s H&S management systems.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring proactive safety performance and continuous improvement.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific H&S plans and procedures tailored to each site’s needs.
- Provide leadership and coaching to site teams, encouraging a safety-first mindset and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Oversee toolbox talks, inductions, H&S training, and incident/near-miss investigations to ensure compliance and improvement.
- Build strong relationships and liaise with client H&S representatives, subcontractors, and local authorities to ensure alignment on safety objectives and requirements.
Requirements
- Recognised H&S qualification (NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in H&S management on large-scale construction projects (data centre, infrastructure, or similar experience an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practices (including CDM regulations, HSE guidelines, and risk management strategies).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to engage and influence teams at all levels.
