Volex is a leading integrated manufacturing specialist for performance critical applications and supplier of power products serving a diverse range of markets and customers, with expertise in cable assemblies, wire harnesses, higher-level assemblies, data center products, electric vehicles and consumer electronics. We employ over 15,000 employees across 24 countries, operating in 25 manufacturing locations.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR and Payroll Assistant to join our team. You will support the smooth operation of the Human Resources department by managing bi-weekly payroll processing, maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment, and serving as the first point of contact for employee inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration
- Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for all employees for U. S and Canadian divisions using Paylocity.
- Verify timecards, track paid time off (PTO), and calculate overtime, bonuses, or shift differentials.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll inquiries promptly.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and compensation data.
- Human Resources Support
- Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate and conduct new hire and onboarding processes for Irvine and other divisions.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date physical and digital employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Support the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and leaves of absence.
- Assist in organizing performance review cycles and employee engagement initiatives.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and high ethical standards regarding confidential information.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service oriented mindset.
