Position Summary: As an HR , you will assist the Human Resources Manager with a variety of tasks and projects, gaining exposure to different aspects of HR including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative support. This is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and help you develop essential skills for a career in human resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
    • Help coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing materials.
    • Support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events.
    • Help respond to employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of employee recognition programs.
  • HR Administration:
    • Assist with maintaining HR databases and ensuring data accuracy.
    • Support the preparation of HR reports and presentations.
    • Help manage and update HR policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development:
    • Assist in coordinating training sessions and workshops.
    • Support the development of training materials and resources.
    • Help track employee training and development activities.
  • Special Projects:
    • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
    • Conduct research on HR best practices and provide recommendations for improvements.
    • Assist with the implementation of HR software and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in human resources.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Duration: This is a part-time position for the summer, typically lasting until mid-August, with the possibility of extension based on performance and company needs.
