HV Authorised Person (Data Centre) – London\nRate: £400–£500 per day\nLocation: London\nType: Long-Term Contract\nStart: ASAP\n\nA major UK engineering contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects is seeking an experienced HV Authorised Person to support HV operations, switching, and safety management on a flagship London hyperscale site.\n\nThis is a long-term opportunity with a contractor known for exceptional engineering capability, strong safety culture, and consistent repeat business with global data centre clients.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Carry out HV switching, permits, isolations, and safety documentation\n\n * Act as the Authorised Person for HV systems across the project\n\n * Ensure compliance with electrical safety rules and site procedures\n\n * Support commissioning teams during energisation and IST phases\n\n * Coordinate with electrical supervisors, engineers, and client representatives\n\n * Review HV designs, RAMS, switching schedules, and procedures\n\n * Maintain HV logs, reports, and safety records\n\nKey Requirements\n\n * Experience as an HV AP on data centre, industrial or mission-critical projects\n\n * Strong knowledge of HV distribution, switching, and safety processes\n\n * Ability to manage safe systems of work and deliver switching operations\n\n * Experience supporting commissioning and energisation phases\n\n * Excellent communication and coordination skills\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * £400–£500 per day\n\n * Long-term contract on a major multi-year DC programme\n\n * Work with one of the UK's strongest technical contractors\n\n * High-performance engineering environment with strong progression
