We are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician to support the installation,
programming, and commissioning of building automation and HVAC control systems on
commercial and industrial projects in the Charlotte area. This role will work closely with
project managers, superintendents, and field crews to install and integrate control
devices and systems that support building automation, energy management, and
environmental control within mission-critical and commercial facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install and troubleshoot BACnet-based Building Automation Systems
• Configure and commission BACnet controllers and devices
• Run and terminate low-voltage control wiring associated with HVAC control systems
• Integrate HVAC equipment with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Test and verify communication between BACnet devices and controllers
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, control diagrams, and blueprints to ensure proper system installation
• Coordinate and work alongside electricians and HVAC teams during installation and system integration
• Support system startup, testing, and commissioning activities on commercial and industrial projects
• Troubleshoot communication networks, BAS devices, and control system issues

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with BACnet systems
• Knowledge of HVAC controls and Building Automation Systems
• Ability to read electrical and control schematics
• Experience with low-voltage wiring and network communication
• Basic understanding of IP networks and BACnet MS/TP networks
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work extended hours when required, including up to 50 hours per week

Local Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years in a commercial or data center setting
• Education: A 2-year Technical Degree (A.A.S.) in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Industrial Systems is highly or equivalent experience
