Shift Leader - Corporate Engineering Environment (Continental Shift)\n\nWe are seeking a highly motivated and technically curious Shift Leader to support the smooth operation of a prestigious, high-profile corporate environment in London. This is a hands-on role, acting as the right hand to the Shift Leader, combining technical expertise with operational and supervisory responsibility.\n\nThe successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, technology-led setting where occupant comfort, precision, and service delivery are just as important as engineering excellence.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupport the Shift Leader with day-to-day operations, both hands-on and supervisory\n\nOperate, monitor, and maintain building services plant across mechanical and electrical disciplines\n\nAct as HVAP (High Voltage Authorised Person) on site (site-authorised, not AP15 only)\n\nIssue, control, and manage permits to work in line with safety procedures\n\nDiagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, minimising disruption to occupants\n\nRespond to client requests with a customer-first mindset, prioritising comfort and reliability\n\nUse multiple IT-driven systems for monitoring, reporting, and task management\n\nCoordinate subcontractors and ensure adherence to site standards and procedures\n\nMaintain accurate maintenance, testing, and authorisation records via CAFM/CMMS systems\n\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including system performance and energy efficiency\n\nSkills & Experience\n\nFully site-authorised HVAP status (essential)\n\nStrong background in building services engineering (mechanical and electrical)\n\nExperience working in a corporate or commercial environment (not data centres only)\n\nIT-literate, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and technologies\n\nTechnically curious with a desire to broaden skills across disciplines\n\nConfident communicator, comfortable engaging with clients, contractors, and colleagues\n\nProactive, flexible, and calm under pressure with a strong problem-solving approach\n\nWorking Pattern\n\nContinental shift pattern (days and nights)\n\nParticipation in shift handovers, emergency response, and site cover as required\n\nWhy Join?\n\nThis role offers the opportunity to work within a landmark, world-class corporate environment featuring some of the most advanced building systems in operation today.
