Are you looking for a change from traditional retail petroleum construction? UST is actively seeking experienced Superintendents, Foremen, and Installers who are ready to transition into the rapidly growing mission critical fueling sector—fueling backup generators for data centers, hospitals, and other essential infrastructure.
While this role still requires knowledge of AST and UST piping system installations, the focus shifts from dispenser fueling to routing fuel to generator belly tanks and day tanks. This involves working with advanced systems such as control skids, fuel polishers, and supply/return pump skids.
With the explosive growth of data centers and AI, mission critical fueling is more important than ever—and UST has been leading the charge in this space for years.
Home offices located in Southlake, TX and Olathe, KS however job sites are across the US. Being located near either one of our offices is preferable. However, travel to job sites are required in company vehicle and will be eligible for Per Diem and Lodging based on GSA and IRS governances using our employee friendly travel platform.

POSITION SUMMARY
UST is looking for an individual with supervisory experience in heavy industrial construction that can lead crews and jobs to success. This foreman role will require the following responsibilities, competencies and experience. As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for material take offs and the assembly of piping systems IN THE FIELD to produce high-quality products. Piping systems will range in size from ½” to 12” diameter, and connection types including: butt weld, socket weld, flanged, and threaded. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values precision and craftsmanship.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading a crew (or crews) of pipe fitters and welders (at least 3-5 craft workers) on piping projects in an industrial setting.
- Daily coordination with the superintendent and project engineer to layout the daily and weekly tasks for the assigned project(s).
- Ability to interpret plan view and elevation view drawings to understand the project.
- Oversee the execution of the work to include process equipment installation, structural platform erection, and process and utility piping. Pipe work will be working with welded, threaded, carbon, and stainless steel.
- Assist with project buy-out for supplied materials, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure project specifications are adhered to. Seek clarification through the project engineer when needed.
- Track specific work hour budgets on a project-by-project basis and identify out of scope changes, communicating to the project engineer.
- This assignment requires a minimum of 40 hours per week with the opportunity, and requirement to work overtime as needed. Some work is required to be performed on night shift.
- Represent the company with integrity and honesty in all aspects of the job.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
- 2-5 Years previous construction experience, in a supervisory leadership role in the industrial trades.
- Experience planning piping projects to include Equipment installation, pipe support locations and installation, pipe routing, tie-in connections and shut down requirements.
- Experience running piping through active industrial production facilities is required.
- Experience working with butt weld and socket weld systems, up to and including 8” diameter steel pipe.
- Understanding plans and specifications.
- Understanding of P&IDs and Pipe ISOs.
- Ability to generate isometric drawings for fabrication in a shop environment for installation in the field. This includes proper take-offs and cut lengths, generated from field measurements, plan view drawings and P&IDs.
- Ability to field route piping where appropriate and required by the client.
- Reliable transportation with active driver’s license
- US and/or Green Card Verified
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards
- Willing to learn PEI recommended practices and applicable fire codes for the installation of petroleum based fuel systems
