Infrastructure Finance Lawyer

Job Description

A leading international law firm is seeking to recruit a high-performing Infrastructure Finance Associate (4+ PQE) to join its market-leading London practice. The team is widely recognised for advising on complex, large-scale infrastructure and energy projects across developed and emerging markets, acting for sponsors, lenders, funds, and public sector bodies on some of the most significant transactions in the sector.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of high-value financing matters, with a particular focus on project finance, acquisition finance, and structured financings within the infrastructure space. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on the financing of major projects spanning sectors such as energy and renewables, transport, digital infrastructure, and social infrastructure. Work will include structuring and negotiating senior and mezzanine debt facilities, refinancing transactions, and supporting the development and acquisition of assets across multiple jurisdictions.

The practice is particularly active in energy transition and sustainable infrastructure, with significant involvement in renewables, hydrogen, battery storage, and decarbonisation projects. Associates are regularly engaged in complex, multi-source financings involving commercial banks, development finance institutions, export credit agencies, and institutional investors. The role will also involve close collaboration with sponsors, private equity infrastructure funds, and government entities on strategically important projects.

The team operates within a fully integrated global platform, providing seamless cross-border support and access to leading practitioners across key financial centres. Senior associates benefit from meaningful responsibility, including leading workstreams, managing junior team members, and maintaining direct client relationships. The environment combines technical excellence with a strong emphasis on professional development and long-term career progression.

  • Familiarity with LMA documentation and multi-jurisdictional financing structures
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage transactions and supervise junior lawyers effectively
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
  • Qualification in England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction

Offering

  • Exposure to market-leading infrastructure and energy transactions globally
  • Opportunity to take on a senior, client-facing role with significant responsibility
  • Collaboration with leading practitioners across an integrated international platform
  • Clear progression opportunities within a high-performing team
  • Competitive remuneration package at the top end of the London market
  • Comprehensive benefits and a supportive, team-oriented culture

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a senior associate seeking to further develop their expertise within a top-tier infrastructure finance practice, working on complex and high-impact transactions shaping the future of global infrastructure.
