The Role:

The Infrastructure Operations Manager will perform ongoing Operations and Administration Services for all data center and Cloud assets. These activities associated with the day-to-day management of the Data Center and Cloud environments, providing and supporting a stable infrastructure and effectively and efficiently performing operational and processing procedures to ensure Services meet service level targets and requirements.
- Monitoring of system operations and respond to and resolve Incidents in accordance with the service levels, adhering to incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Providing measures for proactive monitoring that prevent failure and provide self-healing capabilities to limit outages that impact Service delivery.
- Managing data storage (e.g., virtual, direct attached, SAN, object tape), as well as access to data residing in a centralized repository at the DoD OIG’s designated facilities or virtual environments.
- Support and collaborate with DoD OIG and/or its designated third parties in information assurance/cybersecurity services (e.g., intrusion prevention and detection, protection) in accordance with DoD OIG’s cybersecurity requirements as set out in this Agreement, the DoD OIG’s Policies and Standards and Operations Procedures Manuals, DoD Policies and Standards and Standards and industry security best practices.
- Performing database administration including monitoring, auditing, and reporting.
- Performing System-User and access provisioning administration services, i.e., the activities associated with managing and coordinating account activation, termination, changes, and expiration.
- Performing and supporting security audits where required.
- Providing data backup and recovery for the designated Data Center and Cloud environments Data Center equipment.
- Providing secure remote console access to servers as needed for select DoD OIG IT personnel and Other Suppliers, as determined by DoD OIG.
- Performing and managing file services, directories, transfers and/or other data movement in a secure fashion.
Requirements
- Must have Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or information technology.
- Must have 10 years’ experience in IT field.
- Must have 5 years’ experience demonstrating technical and process proficiency across a broad range of IT landscape technologies and key IT disciplines.
- Must have 5 years’ experience managing on-premises and cloud infrastructure demonstrating cost reductions through cloud optimization, improved system uptime via proactive monitoring, and cloud migration of applications.
- Must have Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification.
- Must be certified as IAT Level II per DoD Task 5.3 Digital Workplace Services & 8570.01-M guidance for Baseline certifications.
- Must be able to obtain a TASKORD related computing environment system certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M guidance for computing environment certifications as approved by agency IAWIP coordinator.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) (Expert or Managing Professional) .
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Cloud Platform certified in one of the following: VMWare, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect.
