The Interior Designer/Construction Manager is responsible for all aspects of interior construction projects from conception to completion with direct responsibility for in budget on schedule projects within a multi-site medical office building portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as leader on each project to coordinate and supervise all aspects of the scope of work
- Perform site survey of existing conditions and field measurements
- Produce space plans, pricing plans, design development packages and construction documents
- Demonstrate competency with building codes, TAS/ADA and healthcare design
- Prepare bid invitation and qualify bids
- Review change orders and review and approve all pay applications
- Establish and maintain construction budget
- Lead construction progress meetings
- Review contractor submittals and RFI's during construction
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Handle multiple tasks while remaining detail oriented and delivering results within given timelines
- Communicate well with clients and team members
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Professional Degree from an accredited Interior Design or Architecture program
- 5+ years of professional experience in commercial or healthcare tenant development environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and instruction, yet able to function as part of a team

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, sit, and use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone.
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office environment with some extended hours and frequent travel throughout Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex area required.
This position is 100% in-office. The role requires working in office during standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option for this position.
