We’re working with a well-established MEP firm known for delivering some of the UK’s and the world’s most complex and high-profile buildings. Their Manchester team is growing — and they’re looking for an Intermediate Electrical Designer who’s ready to take ownership of challenging designs and fast-track their career.

Location: Manchester (City Centre)

Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 (depending on the experience)

Employment type: Permanent

What You'll Be Doing

* Designing electrical systems for technically complex buildings — including lighting, power, emergency systems, fire alarm, and more

* Working across sectors like sports & entertainment, data centres, healthcare, and commercial towers

* Producing drawings, specs, and calculations using Revit, Amtech, Dialux, etc.

* Collaborating with a skilled team of engineers across multiple disciplines

* Getting involved in projects from early concept to site support

* Making sure all your designs hit the mark for safety, innovation, and sustainability

What They’re Looking For

* 4+ years of experience in electrical building services design

* Experience with UK regulations (BS7671, CIBSE guidelines, Part L, etc.)

* You’re comfortable working in Revit, and know your way around AutoCAD, Amtech, and lighting tools

* Clear communicator, team player, with a good eye for detail

* You take ownership of your work and want to keep learning

Desirable:

* Experience on major projects like stadiums, hospitals, or mission-critical facilities

* Familiarity with BREEAM, WELL, or other sustainable building frameworks

* Progress toward CEng or IEng
