Intermediate/ Senior mechanical engineer (Building services)

Job Description

I am looking for a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join a leading consultancy team delivering innovative, sustainable design solutions across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, and residential. This office has seen a 30% growth in the lat few years, thus they are investing in their people.

You will play a key role in designing and coordinating mechanical systems for high-profile projects, including data centres and complex building environments.
Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical building services systems (HVAC, chilled water, heating, ventilation) from concept to completion.
• Produce detailed drawings and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows.
• Carry out thermal modelling, load calculations, and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and contractors to ensure coordinated, clash-free designs.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to technical presentations and reports.
• Ensure designs meet UK regulations and sustainability standards.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical building services design within consultancy or contractor environments.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and familiarity with BIM processes.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and energy efficiency principles.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
