IT Asset & Data Center Audit Specialist (Contract)
Location: Dayton, NJ
We are seeking an experienced IT Asset & Data Center Audit Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role is key to ensuring accurate asset management, compliance, and process improvement across our global data center operations.
Responsibilities
- 
Audit global server vendor maintenance coverage and reconcile discrepancies 
- 
Conduct audits across four (4) Enterprise Data Centers to validate presence, serial numbers, and location accuracy 
- 
Document findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions in the asset management system 
- 
Escalate uncovered or unsupported assets as needed 
- 
Collaborate with Hardware Services stakeholders to improve audit processes and ensure alignment 
- 
Report audit outcomes, reconciliation progress, and compliance metrics to senior management 
Requirements
- 
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience 
- 
Strong skills with Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and Word 
- 
Working knowledge of JIRA, Grafana, Humio, or similar monitoring/virtualization tools 
- 
Ability to work independently and within a team, with strong prioritization skills 
- 
Excellent communication skills and experience working with internal and external stakeholders 
- 
Proven ability to educate, influence, and elevate team skill sets 
- 
Project management experience 
- 
Hands-on experience with server and network hardware in out-of-band environments 
- 
Broad exposure to compute, storage, and network hardware platforms 
- 
Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+) and interest in learning new technologies 
- 
Exposure to programming/scripting and data analytics in a similar role
