IT Consultant – Linux & Security – €80,000

A Darmstadt-based software company, known for its cutting-edge encryption and data protection solutions, is looking for someone to take on a central role in their technical operations.

With more than 20 years in the market, they’ve built a reputation as one of Europe’s most trusted names in security and cryptography - helping clients keep their most sensitive data safe in the cloud.

The Mission:

You’ll join a small, close-knit infrastructure and consulting team responsible for both internal IT systems and customer-facing technical projects. It’s a hybrid position combining system administration, solution engineering, and technical consulting - perfect for someone who enjoys solving technical problems and working closely with customers.

Your Role:

• Advise and support customers and partners during product implementation
• Conduct proof-of-concepts (PoCs), demos, and technical workshops
• Manage and continuously improve internal IT systems (mainly Linux, but also Windows)
• Introduce and automate new tools and processes using Shell, PowerShell, or Ansible
• Ensure a secure, reliable, and efficient IT infrastructure across all environments

What You’ll Bring:

• Solid experience in Linux system administration
• Familiarity with IT security concepts, scripting, and automation
• Experience in technical consulting or customer-facing solution engineering
• Fluent German (C1) and good English skills
