IT Infrastructure Manager (Global) | Lead Enterprise Infrastructure Across Regions

Our client is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager (Global) to lead the design, implementation, and performance of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure-including networks, cloud platforms, data centers, and security systems. This role is central to ensuring a secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure environment that supports business operations across international manufacturing and corporate sites.

As a global leader within the IT function, you'll work cross-regionally to align infrastructure strategy, manage complex projects, and guide distributed teams. This is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong, strategically minded infrastructure professional ready to take on global challenges with impact.

Location: 100% onsite in the Pontiac, MI area

Responsibilities

• Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and performance of global infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, and cloud networking.
• Manage data center operations and infrastructure monitoring across regions.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and NAC systems in alignment with global standards.
• Lead infrastructure projects involving system upgrades, geographic expansions, and enterprise-wide integrations.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and third-party providers to ensure infrastructure aligns with operational goals.
• Maintain vendor relationships, including negotiation and management of SLAs.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date infrastructure documentation, including network diagrams and recovery plans.
• Provide Tier 3 support and lead root cause analysis for critical infrastructure issues.
• Guide and mentor regional infrastructure teams, promoting consistency and adherence to global policies.
• Support and enhance disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure in a global manufacturing environment.
• Deep knowledge of networking technologies, including hands-on experience with Cisco or Fortinet equipment and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Proven track record in managing hybrid infrastructure environments (on-prem, cloud, and data center).
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across diverse, multi-regional teams.

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Professional (CCNP), or Expert (CCIE)
• ITIL Foundation
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• CompTIA Network+
