IT Operations Project Manager (Only Local to Texas)

Role: IT Ops Project Manager

Location: Irving, TX - Onsite

\n

Pay Rate: $55-60/hour on W2, client will not consider C2C

\n

\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES

\n

The candidate should be hands-on in project execution and comfortable engaging in technical infrastructure discussions, while remaining focused on project management, coordination, governance, and delivery.

\n

  • Manage assigned infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout.
  • \n

  • Take ownership of active projects already in progress and ensure continuity of execution.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and team members to develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, RAID logs, action items, and status reports.
  • \n

  • Lead project meetings, working sessions, implementation planning, and status reviews, documenting and sharing minutes or outcomes of sessions.
  • \n

  • Coordinate engineers, architects, vendors, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, and change requests.
  • \n

  • Support infrastructure cutovers, migrations, refreshes, deployments, and modernization activities.
  • \n

  • Track deliverables, owners, due dates, and completion status to ensure project commitments are met.
  • \n

  • Escalate blockers and drive timely resolution with project teams and stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Maintain project documentation, governance artifacts, implementation plans, and closeout materials.
  • \n

  • Facilitate decision-making and ensure technical and business stakeholders remain aligned.
  • \n

  • Prepare executive-ready status reporting, meeting notes, stakeholder updates, and project communications.
  • \n

MUST HAVE” SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

\n

  • Strong understanding of enterprise network infrastructure concepts including infrastructure lifecycle management, hardware refreshes, and end-of-life remediation.
  • \n

  • Experience supporting voice and telephony projects.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with data center operations, disaster recovery, business continuity, cloud services, automated deployments, compute, and storage technologies.
  • \n

  • Ability to understand technical concepts without performing hands-on engineering work.
  • \n

  • Ability to manage dependencies, facilitate decisions, challenge assumptions, and maintain credibility with engineers, architects, vendors, and leadership stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Strong facilitation, meeting leadership, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • \n

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to translate technical discussions into business-friendly updates.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar project management tools.
  • \n

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience managing enterprise infrastructure projects.
  • \n

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams and technical dependencies within the same or multiple projects.
  • \n

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and third-party vendors while working in large, complex enterprise environments.
  • \n

  • Experience managing RAID logs, project schedules, status reporting, implementation plans, and stakeholder communications.
  • \n

  • Experience taking over projects already in flight and quickly establishing ownership.
  • \n
