IT Security Subject Matter Expert - Onsite in Long Island, NY (Hauppauge)

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThis position is on-site in Long Island (Hauppauge, NY).

500 hour engagement to start with likely extensions beyond that.

We are in need of a Security Subject Matter Expert/Technical Specialist in Governance, Risk and Compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Creating and updating cybersecurity policy and standards based on NIST framework.  
• Design and implementation of specialized solutions, particularly security or data center technologies.
• Identifying relevant Suffolk County cybersecurity laws and regulations.
• Defining risk-based compliance audit process against established cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Establishment of cybersecurity risk tracking, risk mitigation and risk exception processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• 10 years of enterprise experience.
• Multiple industry and/or vendor certifications.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. (4 years of additional experience can be substituted for a degree).
