For more than 140 years, we have been an innovative mechanical engineering company for renowned customers all over the world. Our focus today is on the development, production and sale of medium and high-pressure compressors for numerous applications in the Industry, Commercial Shipping, Defense and Offshore segments.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for you to join our IT department in Kiel. Our IT department currently has eleven employees who work together to manage and develop our company's digital infrastructure and ensure smooth and sustainable IT operations.

Job description

As the first point of contact for our employees at the Kiel site, you will make an important contribution to the stability and further development of our IT systems and provide support for all hardware and software challenges. Thanks to your service-oriented approach, technical challenges are solved efficiently and with the needs of our employees in mind.

Your tasks

• First and second level support for internal employees (in person and via the ticket system)
• Purchasing, setting up and installing hardware (clients, peripherals)
• Management of the telephone system and mobile devices as well as integration of network printers
• and access management
• Creation and maintenance of software packages for automated distribution
• Maintenance and continuous optimization of IT systems
• Support and administration of the server environment (virtual and physical machines)
• Ensuring the functionality of all IT systems

Your profile

• Completed training in the IT sector, e.g. as an IT specialist (m/f/d) or IT systems administrator (m/f/d)
• At least five years of professional experience in IT support or in a comparable role
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments, server and storage solutions
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix and PowerShell scripting
• Strong communication skills and customer - even in stressful situations
• Team spirit and hands-on mentality
• Structured and solution-oriented way of working
• Very good knowledge of German and English
