Compensation Range: $44-$49/hour W2

Job Description:
The IT Systems Engineer will support and maintain on-prem data center infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, performance, and operational stability in a highly regulated environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Support data center operations including racking, stacking, and hardware troubleshooting

• Maintain and patch Linux and Windows operating systems

• Manage Active Directory and core system services

• Support network-related operational controls (firewalls, F5, protocols)

• Troubleshoot infrastructure outages and performance issues

• Participate in routine data center visits, especially during onboarding

• Collaborate with a small engineering team to support high-performance environments

Requirements:

• Must-Haves:

  • 5 years of IT systems or data center engineering experience

  • Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems

  • Strong Active Directory knowledge

  • Experience supporting on-prem data center environments

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols

  • Engineering mindset with strong troubleshooting skills

  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and be flexible in a dynamic environment

• Nice-to-Haves:

  • Background in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries

  • Experience with F5 or firewall operational support

  • Experience in smaller or startup-like technical environments
