The IT Technician will provide technical support and maintenance for computer systems, hardware, and software across the organization. This role ensures smooth operation of IT infrastructure and supports end users in resolving technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain and ensure operation of all devices including desktop/laptop computers, printers and peripherals for 400+ users
  • Provide first level diagnostics and support for Windows computers, iPhones, Office 365 + Teams and other hardware and software
  • Must be able to troubleshoot problems and follow through to effective resolution
  • Install, configure, and support other specialized software and provide end user support
  • Image laptops and desktops during initial deployment, maintenance and end of life replacements
  • Meet quantity and quality expectations for Help Desk ticket closure rates
  • Assist with maintaining an accurate inventory of all IT assets
  • Perform special project assignments as deemed necessary by IT management
  • Assist the Network Administrator and Server Administrator with their duties as needed
  • Provide on-call support to the user community on some evenings and weekends.
  • Maintain knowledge of current computer hardware, software and networking trends in the industry
  • Work closely with international support team members as part of a global IT organization
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A 2-year college degree in Information Technology or a combination of experience and technical training is required. Technical training and certifications such as ITF+ and CompTIA A+ are desirable.
  • One to two years of prior help desk and customer service experience, working with PCs and software support is required.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is required. Someone who also speaks Brazilian Portuguese would be very beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to disconnect, lift and move PCs, printers and monitors, to new desks, maneuver under counters and in tight spots to run cables and wires.
  • Requires long durations on the manufacturing floor and/or long durations in the office at a computer.
  • Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 pounds, waist level.
  • Must also have the ability to go up 30 feet in the air on a lift to pull cables.
  • Strong customer service must.
  • Must have strong troubleshooting abilities and excellent organizational, time management, and service delivery skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, customers and vendors.
  • Must work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to assignment changes easily, ability to multi-task, learn and follow office procedures and learn and use new software.
  • Must be able to work with teams and independently with minimum supervision.
  • Must have strong people skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Self-starter, willing to work-through and seek answers to ongoing new requirements.
  • Wear safety-toed footwear, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection and additional personal protective equipment where required.
