Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced L2 Technician to provide hands-on server and network infrastructure support in a data center environment. The role involves troubleshooting hardware issues, coordinating replacements, performing firmware upgrades, and supporting network administrators with installations and cabling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot server hardware and connectivity issues with remote system and network administrators.
  • Identify root causes and support resolution of server and network incidents.
  • Coordinate replacement parts, install components, and manage return shipments to vendors.
  • Perform server firmware and BIOS upgrades per approved standards.
  • Configure server IP addresses and default credentials following standard procedures.
  • Support network administrators with:
  • Cable replacement or re-routing
  • Optics replacement on server and switch ports
  • Installation of upgraded hardware
  • Rack, stack, and cable servers and switches to enable remote access for configuration and validation.
  • Provide hands-on support for ad hoc requests involving servers and network equipment.
  • Perform structured cabling per wiring diagrams and validate connectivity.
  • Conduct physical inspections and audits of servers, components, and consumables to maintain inventory accuracy.
