Job Title: IT Technician (Server & Network Support)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced L2 Technician to provide hands-on server and network infrastructure support in a data center environment. The role involves troubleshooting hardware issues, coordinating replacements, performing firmware upgrades, and supporting network administrators with installations and cabling.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot server hardware and connectivity issues with remote system and network administrators.
- Identify root causes and support resolution of server and network incidents.
- Coordinate replacement parts, install components, and manage return shipments to vendors.
- Perform server firmware and BIOS upgrades per approved standards.
- Configure server IP addresses and default credentials following standard procedures.
- Support network administrators with:
- Cable replacement or re-routing
- Optics replacement on server and switch ports
- Installation of upgraded hardware
- Rack, stack, and cable servers and switches to enable remote access for configuration and validation.
- Provide hands-on support for ad hoc requests involving servers and network equipment.
- Perform structured cabling per wiring diagrams and validate connectivity.
- Conduct physical inspections and audits of servers, components, and consumables to maintain inventory accuracy.
