Journeyman HVACR Mechanic - HVACR Commercial Service and Maintenance Company - Base Salary to 54.00/hour - Ashburn, VA
- Our client is a growing commercial HVACR servicing company in the Ashburn, VA area, serving Northern Virginia, Maryland, and occasional projects in Washington, DC. Their team supports a diverse commercial client base, including data centers, critical facilities, retail malls, restaurants, and grocery stores. As demand continues to grow, they are expanding their service team with experienced, self-sufficient technicians.
- Currently they are seeking a Journeyman HVACR Mechanic with strong commercial service and troubleshooting experience. This role focuses on service, maintenance, and repair of large commercial and critical-facility HVACR systems. The Journeyman HVACR Mechanic will work independently in a 60-mile service radius from their home, with full company support, modern tools, and a stocked service vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial HVACR equipment including Rooftop Units (RTUs), Boilers, CRAC units, Chillers (including 250+ ton systems), Cooling Towers
- Support data centers and mission-critical facilities, as well as retail and mixed-use properties
- Perform light commercial refrigeration service (restaurants & grocery stores), including Walk-In Freezers (WIFs), Walk-In Coolers (WICs)
- Accurately document work using company-provided iPad
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal team members
- Mentor or work alongside a helper as seasonal demand increases
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in commercial HVACR service & maintenance
- Journeyman or Master HVAC license (VA or MD)
- EPA Universal Certification
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 45.00/hour - 54.00/hour range
