AMG Incorporated is looking for a Structural Engineer who enjoys turning real-world constraints into smart, buildable solutions and seeing their work come to life in the field. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to take ownership of real projects and build hands-on experience in structural design for industrial applications. As a Structural Engineer, you will be designing the structural systems that support data center infrastructure. Your will ensure structural integrity across modular systems, equipment supports, and integrated mechanical and electrical assemblies.

Daily Functions:

  • Design and evaluate structural components such as modular assemblies, enclosures, equipment frames and support structures that are used in data center infrastructure projects
  • Determine feasibility and optimize solutions for long term structural integrity
  • Work with Unistrut systems, including member and fitting selection, evaluate materials, fabrication methods and connection designs
  • Perform structural calculations such as load capacity, seismic requirements, vibration, thermal considerations, etc.
  • Support engineering efforts from prototype builds, through on-site installation

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (may consider Civil or Mechanical with applicable experience)
  • 2-5 years of structural design experience
  • Strong understanding of structural fundamentals and member sizing
  • Detail-oriented with a practical, problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively and with cross-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Dayton, Ohio area

This position will focus on structural member designs initially with progressive growth into larger more complex projects. Lots of room for growth!
