Junior Mission Critical Engineer/Day Shift

Novva, is seeking a data center Junior Mission Critical Engineer to join our Data Center Mission Critical team. The Junior Mission Critical Engineer will be a part of the Mission Critical team responsible for operating and maintaining critical systems in our data centers. The candidate will need to be experienced in diverse industries such as electrical , electrical distribution, cooling technologies and fire protection systems. This position is a day shift hourly position and will be a 12-hour shift starting at 7am and ending at 7pm in a rotating 2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off pattern.

High-level responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Conducts regular walks through Data Center during the day assessing systems for health alerts.
• To oversee all Mission Critical infrastructure outside of normal business hours.
• Monitor and respond to alerts from various system monitoring
• Identify critical system issues with large scale impact and escalate
• Provide timely resolution and/or escalation of Facility and customer issues.
• Provide local access and escort for vendors and carriers.
• Provide support to internal

Skills:

• Ability to follow established processes and
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Must be a self-starter and
• Knowledge of general industry networking technologies such as UPS, Generators, and Mechanical systems
• Ability to multitask and meet multiple
• Tracking of all work via ticketing system
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Data Center industry experience but not required.
