NCW is looking for survey layout technicians for multiple Data Center projects. This is a nationwide travel role with the initial project located in Covington, GA or Hamlet, NC.

LAYOUT TECHS (ELECTRICAL SURVEYING)

General Overview

• Positions: Layout Technicians (Electrical Surveying)
• Work Type: Data Centers – all underground/overhead electrical layout, approx. 2-story buildings
• Equipment Used: Trimble & Topcon (common on civil/electrical layout)
• Travel: Nationwide travel required. Local candidates but not required.
• Experience determines rate tier.

Compensation

• Experienced Layout Techs: $25–$30+ /hr (BOE) 

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Willing to travel nationwide
• Background in electrical construction (apprentice electricians acceptable)
• Comfortable reading construction drawings
• Has used Trimble or Topcon gear (, not required)
• Experience with surveying or construction layout is a plus
• Open to training for entry-level candidates

Job Responsibilities

• Perform daily layout using Trimble total stations and/or Trimble GNSS
• Interpret architectural, structural, civil, and electrical drawings
• Lay out conduit, stub-ups, equipment locations, feeders, lighting, duct banks, and underground utilities
• Establish & maintain survey control points
• Conduct layout quality checks
• Coordinate with PMs, foremen, and electricians
• Maintain equipment calibration and documentation
• Adapt to design changes, updated backgrounds, or revised point files
