A leading construction and manufacturing organization is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive the design of complex, mission-critical power systems supporting data centers and advanced infrastructure.

This is a high-impact, senior-level role where you’ll own electrical design from concept through production, developing power architecture, specifying equipment, and ensuring systems are built for reliability, scalability, and real-world execution.

You’ll work closely with engineering, fabrication, and field teams in a highly integrated environment where designs move quickly from screen to shop to site. Ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex power challenges and wants to be hands-on in both design and execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of power distribution systems for mission-critical environments
• Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, and electrical layouts for AC/DC systems
• Design full power architecture & perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system coordination
• Specify major electrical equipment (UPS, switchgear, transformers, busway, panelboards)
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70/70E, UL, and applicable standards
• Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure designs are buildable and scalable
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and vendor equipment for technical accuracy
• Support design standardization and repeatable system development
• Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in power distribution or critical power systems
• Strong experience designing systems involving UPS, switchgear, and transformers
• Ability to create and own single-line diagrams and full system architecture
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and electrical design standards
• Experience with load flow, short circuit, or coordination studies
• Background in data centers, industrial, or large-scale electrical infrastructure highly
