Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of technicians, coordinate complex projects, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise in telecommunications, networking, and electrical systems will drive successful outcomes for our clients while fostering a culture of excellence within our team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of low voltage technicians during installation, troubleshooting, and service calls
  • Oversee the setup and configuration of network infrastructure including Ethernet, LAN, Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, and fiber optic splicing
  • Install and maintain telecommunication systems such as structured cabling (Cat5, Cat6)I, CATV, telephony solutions, and security systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure precise system integration
  • Conduct field service visits for customer sites to diagnose issues with CCTV cameras, access control systems, fiber optics, and network hardware
  • Ensure compliance with NEC ( Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols during all work activities
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, service reports, and project progress

Experience

  • Proven experience as a service technician or lead in low voltage or telecommunications environments
  • Strong background in fiber splicing, network installation, equipment repair, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Hands-on familiarity with computer hardware, telecommunication systems including VoIP and telephony platforms like Avaya
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts such as Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), LAN/WAN architecture, Cisco routers, Juniper equipment
  • Skilled in reading schematics and technical diagrams related to low voltage systems
  • Experience working in data centers or high-density IT environments is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining excellent customer service standards
