Lead Site Operator – Central Oregon

Role Summary

Abundant Mines is hiring a hands-on Lead Site Operator to own the daily performance, reliability, and leadership of one of our  Bitcoin mining facilities in Central Oregon. This role is part technician, part site manager, and all about operational excellence. You’ll be the go-to person for everything from racking machines and reading fleet management software dashboards to managing site vendors, documenting issues, and keeping uptime above 95%.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Site Leadership

• Oversee all on-site activities, including power, racking, machine performance, scheduling, and safety
• Coordinate install teams, support crews, and vendors
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

Technical Repair & Monitoring

• Diagnose and repair miner issues (PSUs, hashboards, control boards, cables)
• Keep machines online and optimize site-wide performance through fleet management software and internal dashboards
• Flag, document, and escalate issues with clear daily logs

Documentation & Accountability

• Maintain accurate equipment inventory, open ticket records, fleet management software logs, and repair notes
• Work closely with headquarters to align uptime goals, budget expectations, and repair timelines

Client Impact

• Ensure consistent uptime across the fleet and prompt follow-through on issues that affect production
• Communicate internally to remove bottlenecks and preemptively address risks

Growth & Systems Thinking

• Help shape our long-term site operations strategy with feedback on what’s working and what’s not
• Lead and train junior support techs as we scale

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years in a hands-on operations, technician, or site leadership role
• Comfortable diagnosing and fixing power, network, or hardware issues in high-density rack environments
• Proven ability to manage vendors, timelines, and fast-moving projects
• Able to lift, rack, and work in heat, dust, and rural conditions
• Local to Central Oregon or willing to commute to the site.
• Proven leader with strong people management skills, including team leadership, conflict resolution, mentoring, and driving performance through effective communication and collaboration.
• Familiarity with ASIC miners, fleet management software, smart PDUs, and airflow optimization
• Skilled in network administration, physical device configuration, hardware setup, and hands-on management of networking systems.

Bonus Skills

• Experience in construction, energy, data centers, or industrial facilities
• Basic electrical, HVAC, or mechanical certifications
