Best in Business, 2022 THE POSITION: The Leadman Electrician oversees and coordinates electricians on various projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, supervising installations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and the NEC. The role requires strong leadership, hands-on electrical work, and effective communication with trades and stakeholders. Ideal candidates have over five years of commercial construction experience, proficiency with construction equipment, and advanced knowledge of electrical systems and codes. RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee and coordinate the work of electricians on various projects. Plan, schedule, and assign tasks to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion. Interpret blueprints and specifications. Supervise the installation and maintenance of electrical systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and the Electrical Code (NEC). Perform hands-on electrical work and troubleshoot issues. Provide guidance and training to team members. Manage materials and prepare reports. Communicate with other trades and project stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years' experience in commercial construction as an electrician 2+ years' experience as a leadman electrician ** Experience working in data center and high-rise projects ** Strong leadership and management skills Daily on-site attendance required. Comprehensive knowledge of the construction process. Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks (bending, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling). Proficiency with construction equipment. OSHA certification (training provided if needed). Strong time management skills. Thorough understanding of blueprints and the Electrical Code (NEC). Possession of own Journeyman tools and meets all Journeyman requirements. Basic knowledge of special systems (e.g., fire alarms, sound, voice data). Ability to install and make up switch gear (Cad weld) and perform control wiring. Advanced wire pulling techniques (e.g., Tuggers). Ability to coordinate with other trades, plan ahead, and meet production goals.
