Job DescriptionLoad Bank Sales EngineerWe are seeking a technically minded Sales Engineer to develop customer solutions and support the continued growth of an expanding Load Bank division.Position: Load Bank Sales EngineerSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annumLocation: LeicesterHours: Full time, permanent - 37.75 hours per weekClosing date: TBCBenefits: Discretionary OTD/Sales Bonus, 4% contributory pension, Life Insurance, Health Cash Plan, Cycle to Work Scheme, 25 days' holiday plus public holidays and Employee Assistance Programme.About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist engineering business within a growing Load Bank division, working at the interface between customers, sales and technical teams.As Load Bank Sales Engineer, you will be a key point of contact for customers, managing technical enquiries, understanding requirements and identifying appropriate, commercially viable solutions. You will produce preliminary designs, quotations and tenders, helping to convert opportunities into profitable orders.Key responsibilities will include:Managing customer enquiries by telephone, email and face-to-faceUnderstanding technical requirements and developing suitable costed solutionsPreparing accurate quotations and tenders and following these through to orderProviding pre-sales technical expertise and product guidanceDeveloping strong relationships with new and existing customersIdentifying and pursuing new business opportunitiesProcessing orders and ensuring accurate information is passed to design and manufacturing teamsMaintaining accurate customer, quotation and order information within the ERP systemKeeping customers informed throughout the order processUndertaking occasional customer and site visits in the UK and potentially overseas.About youYou will combine strong technical knowledge with a commercial, customer-focused approach. You will ideally have previous experience in load bank sales or a related technical sales environment, such as diesel generators.You will have an HNC in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent apprenticeship and a good understanding of electrical concepts including voltage, current and active/reactive power.
