Your Impact

Wind Turbine Site O&M Technicians operate and maintain the assigned Wind Turbine site by optimizing wind , availability, and performance through established procedures with the highest regard for health, safety, and environment compliance. Wind Turbine O&M technicians carry out tasks such as cleaning, organizing, assembly, service, troubleshooting and/or repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment and facilities. Certified Wind Turbine Technicians must maintain all certifications required for the position. While the Wind Turbine O&M technician is assigned to a specific site, occasional travel may be required (5% to 10%). The position is considered a local job and is not eligible to earn regular per diem.

Core Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and identify root cause of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions.
  • Work with site leadership to execute all contractual obligations and activities set forth with the customers daily, which can include any portion of the electrical, mechanical, or balance-of-plant equipment on site.
  • Lead and/or assist with other daily work activities, related to all areas of site operations, as directed by manager, with minimal supervision.
  • Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records, using computer-based service reporting tools and procedures.
  • Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the Pearce Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Core Experience

  • 3-5+ years troubleshooting and/or maintenance on Wind Turbines.
  • Knowledge of wind turbine mechanics 2-3 years .
  • Inventory control experience .
  • Ability and willingness to read and understand electrical schematic drawings.
  • Ability and willingness to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.

Physical/Work Environment

  • Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet.
  • Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance.
  • Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds).
  • Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grasses.
  • Ability to walk up to 3 miles per day on terrain such as gravel, pavement, grass, etc.

Base Pay Range$26—$30 USD
