Equans Data Centres is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager, to join our expanding team to support the delivery of cutting-edge data centre solutions in High Wycombe and across the UK.
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all logistical operations, multi-labour, waste management and site security for the efficient and well-organised day-to-day operation of the project in respect of health, safety, environmental, sustainability and quality standards.
The successful candidate will ensure efficient co-ordination of materials, equipment and inventory to meet project timelines whilst maintaining cost effectiveness and compliance with company standards.
What you will deliver?
* Plan, implement and manage logistics strategies for all logistical operations in relation to deliveries, access and egress, compliance and coordination with site security requirements, plus all logistical operations in relation to waste management, ensuring compliance with company plans.
* Co-ordinate with procurement, project managers and/or project directors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure the co-ordinated delivery of materials and equipment.
* Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits and optimise stock control, where applicable, to reduce waste and improve turnaround times.
* Carry out regular inspection of the site/working areas in relation to good housekeeping, security, environmental standards and health & safety.
* Work as part of the project team to ensure that works do not commence before Risk Assessments, Task Safety Plans and Method Statements are issued and approved.
* Work with the project team to ensure that all activities critical to the success of the site are executed, managed and delivered to the agreed programme and standards required to achieve the aims of the project team.
* Support cross-functional teams during large-scale project mobilisations, ensuring seamless logistics integration.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data and digital tools.
* Implement health, safety and environmental compliance standard to all logistics activities.

Who are we looking for?
* Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes
* Ability to understand and retain knowledge
* Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work
* An understanding of lifting operations
* Methodical and process driven
* Commitment to safety, quality and sustainability in logistics operations
* Experience working for a construction main contractor or large subcontractor is desirable
* Experience working on large-scale construction projects
* IT knowledge with the ability to provide accurate information on inventory
