We are seeking highly motivated and mechanically-minded individuals to join our team! This position is ideal for those who are seeking hands-on experience in electrical installation, with a focus on wiring, conduit, labeling, and collaboration with other trades. While a background in electrical work is , we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong communication skills, teamwork, and dependability.
MCAT Solutions is a small but rapidly growing company specializing in low-voltage controls and automation systems. The primary focus is on Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and Mechanical Control Systems within data centers in and around the Columbus, Ohio area. Travel to various job sites may be required.
Compensation: $18-22/hour, dependent on experience. Benefits available.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 6:00am to 4:30pm & Friday: 6:00am to 2:30pm
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with installation of conduit and control systems; including mounting and wiring control panels, sensors, actuators, and network devices.
- Pull, label, and terminate low-voltage and communication wiring per schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, control diagrams, and installation manuals.
- Work under the direction of crew leaders and supervisors to complete assigned tasks accurately and on schedule.
- Coordinate and communicate with team members and other trades to support smooth jobsite execution.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; properly handle tools, equipment, and materials.
- Operate hand/power tools and lifts in accordance with safety standards and site requirements.
- Attend jobsite meetings as required. Participate in training and skill development programs as required.
- Document installation activities accurately and submit required paperwork on a daily basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of electrical principles and construction practices.
- Mechanical aptitude; comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret basic wiring diagrams/schematics.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively; willing to learn and take direction.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation to/from job sites.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) for safety, coordination, and documentation purposes.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull, up to 30 pounds independently.
- Ability to distinguish colors for proper wiring identification.
- Willing and capable of working from ladders, scaffolding, and other elevated platforms.
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the day.
