Job Summary
We are seeking a BICSI Certified (Strongly ) Cable Installer to support the installation, testing, and documentation of structured cabling systems for large scale infrastructure and IoT related deployments. This role requires hands on experience with both fiber and copper cabling systems and strict adherence to BICSI, NEC, ANSI TIA, and OSHA standards. The installer will support projects through planning, installation, configuration, and quality assurance phases to ensure compliant and high quality cable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Site Support

  • Support cable infrastructure site surveys alongside project and site leads
  • Participate in walkthroughs of telecom closets, data rooms, and cable pathways
  • Identify, document, and validate existing infrastructure and cable routing paths
  • Read and interpret construction prints, floorplans, and design drawings

Cable Infrastructure Installation

  • Install structured cabling systems in accordance with BICSI standards
  • Pull, terminate, label, and test fiber optic and copper cabling systems
  • Install Cat6, fiber backbone, and low voltage cabling per design documents
  • Install pathways, racks, patch panels, cable trays, and related infrastructure
  • Ensure proper cable management, grounding, and labeling practices

Testing, Documentation, and Certification

  • Test and troubleshoot fiber and copper infrastructure
  • Perform certification testing and document results
  • Label, document, and certify all cabling systems
  • Prepare as built documentation and support test and acceptance reporting

Quality Control and Closeout

  • Participate in quality assurance inspections with project teams
  • Resolve punch list items related to cabling installation and performance
  • Support final sign off and project closeout activities

Required Qualifications

  • Active BICSI Level 2 certification required
  • Minimum 3 years of hands on structured cabling experience
  • Experience installing, terminating, and testing fiber and copper cabling
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards and best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and cabling schematics
  • Familiarity with cabling documentation and labeling standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in overhead or confined spaces
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • US citizenship required

Qualifications

  • BICSI Installer 2 Copper certification
  • BICSI Installer 2 Optical Fiber certification
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Experience supporting IoT, sensor, or network infrastructure deployments
  • Experience working in regulated or secure environments

Work Conditions

  • Flexible hours may be required based on project needs
  • Travel required depending on project assignments
