The Data Center / Low Voltage Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling systems and network infrastructure within data center environments
Duration: 3 months
Start Time: 4AM
Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, test, and label low-voltage cabling systems including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cables
- Perform cable routing through trays, ladders, racks, and conduits within data centers
- Install and maintain network hardware such as patch panels, switches, and server rack components
- Conduct cable testing and certification using industry-standard tools
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and repair faulty cabling or components
- Maintain accurate cable documentation, labeling, and diagrams
- Assist with rack and stack installations
- Adhere to safety procedures and low-voltage installation standards
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3+ years of experience in low voltage cabling or data center environments
- Experience with copper and fiber optic installations
- Familiarity with cable termination standards
- Strong attention to detail and cable management practices
