Job Description
We are currently working with a specialist independent advisory firm is seeking to hire a Senior Analyst or Associate to join its M&A team, with a focus on infrastructure and renewable energy transactions. The firm advises entrepreneurs, corporates, and private equity / infrastructure funds on mid-market, cross-border M&A deals across Europe, operating in a senior-led and execution-focused model.
The role will have a particular emphasis on transactions involving German-speaking and Nordic markets, which are core regions for the firm’s infrastructure and energy transition activity.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be involved across all stages of the transaction lifecycle, working closely with senior bankers and clients on sell-side and buy-side infrastructure and renewables mandates. This role offers early responsibility, meaningful deal exposure, and the opportunity to develop into a lead execution professional within a lean advisory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial analysis, valuation, and financial modelling for infrastructure and renewable energy M&A transactions
- Preparation of marketing materials, including teasers, information memoranda, and management presentations
- Sector research across infrastructure subsectors (e.g. renewables, energy transition, utilities, transport, digital infrastructure)
- Support transaction execution, due diligence processes, and coordination with legal, technical, and other external advisors
- Assist with pitch preparation and client presentations
Candidate Profile
- 2–5+ years of experience in investment banking M&A, corporate finance, or transaction advisory
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills; prior infrastructure or energy exposure but not required
- Fluent German or a Nordic (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, or Finnish) is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment
- Strong interest in infrastructure, renewables, and energy transition
