Job Title: Maintenance Technician – 3rd ShiftAbout Rittal

Primary Activities/Duties
- Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as conveyors, compressors, motors, and pumps.
- Perform work order repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Set up and operate welders, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment.
- Operate mobile equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulating booms.
- Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.
- Maintain professional and courteous conduct while carrying a phone during work hours.
- Maintain 5S standards throughout the facility.
- Support the Rittal Production System through preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety Requirements
- Wear safety-toed footwear.
- Safety glasses with side shields.
- Hearing protection.
- Additional personal protective equipment as required.
- Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the shift.
- Occasionally lift up to 80 pounds to waist level.
- Frequently lift 25–50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above shoulder level.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 90 feet.
Work Environment
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, and high noise levels.
- May be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Regular use of cleaning solvents, oils, lubricants, and other substances.
- Must be available to work any shift.
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems .
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Ability to write detailed repair reports and communicate effectively.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn maintenance software for data entry and parts research.
