Job Description

The HCM Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing our Human Capital Management, to ensure accurate and efficient management of employee data, HR processes and system functionality. This role will serve as a key resource to HR management for day-to-day tactical and operational concerns as well as being focused on long-term strategic HR planning and implementations. This is a hybrid role in Downtown Dallas.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee all HR Systems within Steam Realty Partners

  • Set-up, administer and maintain all HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security. 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of HR system, ensuring it meets the needs of the HR department, the organization and employees.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure HCM system alignment with business needs and objectives. 
  • Design, implement and optimize workflows for various HR activities such as open enrollment and performance management cycles, merit planning, and talent management. 
  • Manage system upgrades, implementations, and integration with other business systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries and support requests. 
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including user guides and training materials. 
  • Provide technical support to HR staff and end-users, addressing issues and troubleshooting problems as they arise. 
  • Partner with IT and other departments to ensure system security and integrity.

Ensure data accuracy and accurate reporting within HR Systems

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and system functionality.
  • Actively contribute to building new reports, trackers and databases related to HR and compensation. 
  • Generate and analyze HR reports, metrics, and dashboards to support decision-making and strategic planning. 
  • Assist with the development and implementation of data-driven HR strategies and initiatives. 

Lead and manage HCM-related projects, including system upgrades, new module implementations, and process improvements. 

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. 

Oversee the HR Operations team

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, feedback and support to the HR Operations team.
  • Participate in annual performance reviews and feedback sessions throughout the year.
  • Plan and distribute work throughout the team.
  • Create a culture of learning that supports our core values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of work experience working with HR systems and technology
  • 5+ years of Workday experience 
  • 5+ years managing a team
  • Experience with UKG/Ultipro
  • Experience implementing new enterprise system required
  • Strong knowledge of HCM system functionality, reporting and data analysis
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes such as open enrollment, merit planning, and performance management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and in laypeople terms
  • Strong analytical and problem - solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Customer focus, especially in delivering high-quality results.
  • Able to think critically to solve complex, time-sensitive inquiries and data issues.
