Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

• Lead the planning, architecture, and execution of enterprise infrastructure initiatives and cloud systems.
• Oversee the migration and optimization of workloads within Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
• Manage hybrid environments by integrating Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, private cloud and on-premise systems.
• Ensure high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies are in place and tested regularly.
• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide monitoring, logging, and performance optimization processes.

Cybersecurity Leadership

• Define and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with organizational risk and compliance requirements (NIST, CMMC2, HIPPA, PCI).
• Oversee and access management (IAM), vulnerability management, zero trust, and incident response programs.
• Implement and manage Microsoft security tools.
• Lead security awareness and education programs to foster a culture of cybersecurity across the organization.

IT Operations & Service Management

• Lead the IT operations team to ensure efficient delivery of support services and infrastructure reliability.
• Implement automation (Intune policies) for provisioning and compliance.
• Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics for system uptime and service delivery.
• Oversee vendor relationships, licensing, and cloud service contracts.
• Manage IT budgets, resource planning, and cost optimization across data centers and cloud environments.

Leadership & Strategy

• Develop and execute multi-year roadmaps for IT infrastructure modernization and cybersecurity maturity.
• Partner with business and IT leaders and the CIO to align technology initiatives with strategic goals.
• Mentor and develop technical leaders, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires onsite presence in our Knoxville, TN location.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer-related discipline or relevant equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience with implementing and managing enterprise infrastructure platforms
• 3+ years of experience building and migrating workloads to Microsoft Azure with minimal RTO and RPO architecture.
• 5+ years of project management experience
• 5+ years people leadership

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• An outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), work well in cross-functional teams
• Execution-oriented, and able to complete tasks independently
• Comfortable working with all levels of the organization including executives
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, M365, Intune, Entra ID, and security management tools.
• Strong passion for technology and staying abreast of industry trends
• Proven ability to influence peers without direct authority; experience leading cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
• Talented facilitator who skillfully leads strategy and planning discussions.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented leader who actively works to remove barriers to achieving results.
• Adapts to changes in priorities with ease, comfortable working “in the gray” while defining the way forward.
• Experience leading Strategy and Roadmap development, Technology solution evaluation, execution of Sourcing processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and Financial/Cost Modeling for Technology solutions
• Fosters a spirit of collaboration and teamwork
