KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Strategy
· Develop and implement hardware lifecycle management policies, including procurement, upgrades, and decommissioning
· Collaborate with IT leadership to align hardware strategy with business goals
· Establish and monitor KPIs for system uptime, hardware performance, and support response times
Hardware & Infrastructure Management
· Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage devices, network equipment, and end-user hardware
· Manage data center operations, including power, cooling, and physical security
· Ensure proper asset tracking, inventory management, and vendor relationship management for hardware procurement
· Coordinate hardware upgrades, replacements, and preventive maintenance schedules
Security & Compliance
· Implement and maintain physical and logical security controls to protect hardware infrastructure
· Ensure compliance with relevant data security, privacy, and industry regulations
· Partner with cybersecurity teams to safeguard hardware systems against threats
Support & Operations
· Provide escalation support for complex hardware-related issues.
· Oversee deployment and maintenance of desktop/laptop systems, printers, and mobile devices
· Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for troubleshooting and repairs
· Ensure business continuity through backup hardware strategies and disaster recovery readiness
Budget & Vendor Management
· Develop and manage the hardware budget, including capital expenditures and maintenance contracts
· Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions
· Evaluate and recommend new hardware technologies to improve efficiency and reliability
