Tillman FiberCo is building a 100% fiber network to support the next of broadband services. Tillman FiberCo is a portfolio company of Tillman Global Holdings, a holding company focused on building premier digital infrastructure businesses globally. We have an incredible opportunity for the Operations Trainer, who will report directly to the Director of Systems and Training.

The Operations Trainer plays a critical role in onboarding new employees and vendors while enhancing the skills of the existing workforce. This position is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that ensure employees are proficient in operational systems, procedures, and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate will foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence and have excellent OSP telecom experience.

Preference will be given to applicants currently living in Florida or the Southeast United States. This role requires monthly travel to our Tampa office (all associated expenses reimbursed).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new hires, current employees and vendors, focusing on OSP Engineering and Construction, operational systems, workflows, and compliance.
  • Conduct live and virtual training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job training (OJT) across departments.
  • Collaborate with department leads to identify training needs and tailor content to meet specific operational goals.
  • Create and maintain training materials including manuals, SOPs, instructional videos, and e-learning modules.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Provide post-training support and coaching to ensure successful application of learned skills.
  • Stay current with system updates, operational changes, and industry best practices to ensure training relevance.
  • Maintain training schedules, coordinate logistics, and manage training records and reporting.
  • Travel on a monthly basis to Tampa, FL for training (all expenses paid for/reimbursed)

Requirements:

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Operations Management, or related field ()
  • 5+ years of experience in training, operations, or workforce development.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt training methods to diverse learning styles and operational contexts.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite ), compliance protocols, and performance evaluation tools is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel to Tampa, FL approximately once per month (all expenses reimbursed/paid for)
