POSITION OVERVIEW
As VLCM's Marketing Event Specialist, you'll be the engine behind our marketing events. You'll own tradeshow planning from start to finish, while also leading the research, coordination, and execution of virtual customer events. You'll also provide hands-on support for in-person events, from major marquee gatherings and executive summits to smaller-scale activities like lunch-and-learns, flexing to support event needs and team priorities. Alongside logistics, you'll design digital marketing assets like registration pages, HTML invitations, and engaging copy that transform events into experiences.
Success in this role takes a blend of marketing savvy, strong communication, and sharp time-management skills. We're looking for a self-starter who can solve problems independently while thriving in collaboration. If you're resourceful, creative, and can juggle competing priorities without losing your sense of humor, you'll fit right in. Sometimes that means rolling up your sleeves to set up an event, other times it means managing ten browser tabs at once. Either way, the goal stays the same: create client experiences that matter-preferably without spilling coffee on your laptop.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
- Support VLCM's Events Team and Sr. Experience Manager in planning and executing marketing events:
- Develop digital event marketing assets (registration pages, segmented email invitations, event copy).
- Coordinate and manage VLCM's participation in tradeshows, exhibitions, and Sales in-territory events.
- Research, coordinate, and manage virtual marketing events, including:
- Partnering with event activity platforms and vendors.
- Coordinating with VLCM subject matter experts, partner reps, and other stakeholders.
- Managing event technology (registration tools, Zoom/Teams scheduling, integrations, etc.).
- Provide hands-on support for in-person events - from major marquee gatherings and executive summits to smaller-scale activities such as lunch-and-learns. Flexing to support event needs and team priorities.
- Support marketing operations, including:
- Data projects such as contact research, segmentation, and reporting.
- Implementing new tools and processes that streamline workflows.
- Tracking expenses against provided budgets
- Support and fulfillment of marketing incentive and lead gen programs as necessary
- Bring ideas, creativity, and good energy to the table
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture - where we take our work seriously, but not ourselves
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2-4 years of professional experience in marketing
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field , but not required
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite , but not required
- Previous experience with CRM/Marketing Automation tools such as Hubspot, Salesforce, Marketo or similar highly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Reliable, deadline-oriented, and proactive
- Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure with a sense of urgency
- Self-starter with a growth mindset and a willingness to roll up your sleeves
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
- Ability to help pack, move, and lift boxes/materials to set up and tear-down for events
- Ability to work in our office in Murray, UT
