Materials Manager
Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm.

Overview
The Materials Manager is responsible for managing the receiving team, drivers, material handlers, and processes to support material movement to production, engineering, and other departments with accuracy and within time requirements while promoting a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Overseeing processes and procedures within the materials team and ensuring managers and supervisors have maintained documented training logs.
• Ensure the team is trained to support production supply requirements while ensuring the procedures are maintained.
• Oversee all inventory transactions to ensure inventory accuracy, correct any errors, and perform retraining within the team if needed.
• Auditing of daily 5S logs.
• Forklift certified and ability to provide training and certification.
• Overseeing the team is trained on printing inventory labels to locate parts to proper bin locations while maintaining procedures and accurately documenting the process.
• Overseeing inventory dispatch requests are accurately dispositioned by the materials team and meet time expectations.
• Ensure incoming and outgoing lanes are handled timely and accurately.
• Managing proper return of material to inventory and ensure material meets inventory return requirements.
• Performing quarterly employee reviews.
• Overseeing timecard punches for accurate timecard management.
• Analyzing daily operations and supporting other members of the management team.
• Promote a safe work environment and report any safety or OSHA violations to the safety team.
• Create KPI’s for the materials team.
• Perform other related tasks, as required.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education equivalent to a high school diploma.
• 2 years of management experience.
• Thorough understanding of materials management concepts, including procurement, inventory control, and distribution.
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a team.
• Analytical with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated computer skills, preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database, and other applicable software programs.
Qualifications:
• Strong 5S understanding.
• 2+ years of materials management experience.
