M&E construction manager

About the Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced M&E Construction Manager with a strong data centre background to join our team delivering large-scale mission critical projects. This role is with a leading main contractor, overseeing the mechanical and electrical packages from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile hyperscale and colocation data centre projects across the UK and Europe.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Manage and coordinate all M&E activities on site\n\n * \n\n Oversee subcontractors and specialist suppliers\n\n * \n\n Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards\n\n * \n\n Review and manage technical submittals, RFIs, and design coordination\n\n * \n\n Liaise closely with client representatives, consultants, and project stakeholders\n\n * \n\n Drive commissioning, testing, and handover processes\n\n * \n\n Monitor progress against programme and manage short-term planning\n\n * \n\n Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as an M&E Construction Manager or Senior M&E Manager\n\n * \n\n Strong background delivering data centre / mission critical projects\n\n * \n\n Experience working for a main contractor (essential)\n\n * \n\n Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, LV/MV, UPS, generators, BMS, fire systems, etc.)\n\n * \n\n Experience managing commissioning and client handover\n\n * \n\n SMSTS (required)\n\n * \n\n Relevant trade or engineering qualification \n\n * \n\n Strong leadership and coordination skills\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary + package\n\n * \n\n Car allowance / travel allowance\n\n * \n\n Bonus scheme\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to work on major data centre developments\n\n * \n\n Career progression within a growing mission critical division
