M&E Design Manager (Building Services)\n\n£70,000 to £85,000 + Car/Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits\n\nWe’re recruiting on behalf of a highly respected Building Services contractor renowned for delivering high-quality M&E projects across healthcare, education, commercial, and cutting-edge data centre sectors.\n\nWith typical project values ranging from £2m to £20m, and a reputation built on technical excellence, repeat business, and trusted client partnerships, they provide an environment where people can thrive, innovate, and build long-term careers.\n\nThe Role\n\nDue to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced M&E Design Engineer / M&E Design Manager to join their team.\n\nThis is a pivotal role, working closely with clients, consultants, and project teams from concept through to delivery, ensuring full design coordination and compliance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Lead and oversee M&E design from feasibility through to completion\n\n * Coordinate and review consultant and subcontractor designs\n\n * Provide technical input during tender and pre-construction stages\n\n * Support delivery teams to resolve design challenges and ensure compliance\n\nAbout You\n\n * Strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Combined Building Services design\n\n * Knowledge of M&E systems integration and relevant regulations\n\n * Familiarity with BIM / digital engineering tools (advantageous)\n\n * Excellent communication and coordination skills\n\n * Experience as a Design Manager or Senior M&E Design Engineer\n\nRemuneration Package – M&E Design Manager\n\nBase Salary: £70,000 to £85,000 (reflective of experience and seniority)\n\n * Company car or car allowance + travel expenses + bonus scheme\n\n * Private healthcare + pension\n\n * Generous holiday allowance + bank holidays\n\n * Ongoing training and structured career progression\n\nIf you’re an experienced M&E Design Manager or M&E Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking contractor delivering some of the UK’s most exciting projects.
