M&E Quantity Surveyor

Job DescriptionIntermediate M&E Quantity Surveyor Location: West London Project: Data Centre Contract: Minimum 12 months Rate: £265–£275 per day Start: Immediate FBR Recruitment are currently working with a leading contractor who are looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with a strong M&E background to join a major data centre project in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an M&E Quantity Surveyor looking for a long-term contract, with a minimum of 12 months work available and the potential for an immediate start. The Role As an Intermediate M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial management of the M&E package on a major data centre project. You will work closely with the wider commercial and project teams to ensure costs, variations, procurement and financial reporting are effectively managed. Key Responsibilities * Commercial management of M&E packages throughout the project lifecycle * Preparing and managing valuations, variations and payment applications * Assisting with procurement and subcontractor management * Reviewing and managing subcontractor accounts * Cost reporting and forecasting * Supporting change and variation management * Monitoring project costs against budgets * Assisting with final accounts * Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and the wider M&E team * Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting Requirements To be considered, you MUST have: * Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the M&E sector * A degree in Quantity Surveying * Experience working on major M&E projects * Strong commercial and contractual knowledge * Excellent communication and organisational skills * A British passport * The ability to work on-site in West London * Availability to start immediately, or at very short notice Package * £265–£275 per day * Minimum 12-month contract * Immediate start available * Major West London data centre project * Long-term opportunity If you are an Intermediate M&E Quantity Surveyor with the required qualifications and experience and are interested in a long-term data centre project, please get in touch for further information
